The Fedora Project Core 10 is the descendant of Red Hat Linux. Comprised entirely
of open source software, Fedora Core is a Linux-based operating system developed
as a collaboration of Red Hat engineers and the Linux community. Red Hat Linux
is probably the best-known Linux distribution. It is well-supported by commercial
software, and tends to be easy to install and have good hardware support out
of the box.
The Live CD is bootable on systems that support boot from CD. With Fedora Linux Live, there's no need to install a Linux system to have a full-featured desktop. Just place the live CD into a CD-ROM drive, boot from the disc, then watch an entire Fedora Core 10 operating system run "on the fly" from the CD-ROM.
