The Fedora Linux 12 is the descendant of Red Hat Linux. Comprised entirely of open source software, Fedora is a Linux-based operating system developed as a collaboration of Red Hat engineers and the Linux community. Red Hat Linux is probably the best-known Linux distribution. It is well-supported by commercial software, and tends to be easy to install and have good hardware support out of the box.
