OpenOffice.org is a full-featured office productivity suite, including a word processor, spreadsheet, web page editor and presentation program, all in tightly integrated modules. It is compatible with Microsoft Office and allows you to open Microsoft office documents. Also documents created using OpenOffice can be opened using Microsoft Office.

This is a great alternative to Microsoft Office.
